ASCII Art
ASCII art is a design that consist of many pictures pieces or characters together to create a bigger picture. This type of art is also called "computer text art." It is a graphic design technique by computer for animation, movie or picture. The name ASCII is standing for American Standard Code For Information Interchange. The code was founded by the American National Standards Institute, also known as ANSI, in the beginning of 1960 as a way to present and read characters of Latin-based alphanumeric.
It takes a lot of effort to create the ASCII art. However, you don't need to have a special software or program to make one. Many people simply used Window notepad, Microsoft Word, etc. It takes times to fit all the characters together to create a beautiful picture. Usually, the artist takes about 1 hour to 3 hour for a small picture. You can change the slope of your picture by add or reduce characters from the image. Imagination is one of the key factor to create this type of art. Human imagination is limitless. Therefore, it gives your creation the uniqueness.
When I first see ASCII art, I thought it is very different form the ordinary pictures that we see everyday. This type of art looks very creative. By looking at the art, it gives me a unique feeling. When I look closely to the picture, I can see all the character that the artist used. When I look at the picture as a whole, I can see the incredible picture that the artist is trying to portray. It is amazing to see all the character connected together for a better image.
